Carolyn is a healthcare technology executive who brings over 20 years leadership experience to Aetion.
She previously served in senior leadership roles at three of the most important companies driving the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care. As the CEO of Remedy Partners, she led the market-leading company in providing software and services for bundled payment programs.
Prior to that, she served as Executive Vice President of Payer Strategy and Operations at Evolent Health, where she led the team responsible for operationalizing value-based payer contracts and provider-led health plans serving populations enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Exchange programs. During her four-year tenure, Evolent grew from a start-up with fewer than 50 employees and $8 million in annual revenue to a public company with more than 1,000 employees and $150 million in revenue.
Carolyn has also served in several leadership roles within the Medicare and Medicaid businesses of UnitedHealth Group. As Chief Operating Officer of UnitedHealth Group’s Community and State plan in New Jersey, Carolyn drove a financial and cultural turnaround and grew membership to more than 400,000 beneficiaries. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Medicare Special Needs Plans, serving as the national product lead for health plans tailored to individuals with chronic illnesses and limited incomes. Early in her career Carolyn was a management consultant both in the Strategic Change Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers and in the health and life sciences division of Silverline Technologies.
Carolyn earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and her MBA in healthcare management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
